Workshops and Seminars

The school organizes regular activities for the holistic development of students. These activities are also targeted at teachers and school staff to be well-equipped in supporting the education of our bright and young minds.

Teacher Seminar on counseling :

Seminars are conducted for the teachers on ‘How to identify if a child needs counseling’. It is led by the school councilor.

The motive of the seminar is to identify students if students need academic help or otherwise. Information is provided to the staff of visible areas the students can be analyzed in. Further, activities are conducted with the teachers to find out their ‘Purpose of Life’ and improve morale. Educational videos are also used to help create awareness about the current scenarios and factors affecting a child’s mentality.

Workshop on Media:

Pro-Social Peer Moderation Programme.

The media literacy program is usually conducted at the Fortis Hospital, Vashi. The aim of this workshop is to provide awareness about the reality of News generated by the Media.

The session includes trainers like Neuropsychiatric Dr. Era Dutta of Fortis Hospital. Participants are quizzed to gauge their knowledge and interest in media.

Information about the health affecting factors while using electronic media is also provided. The reality and bias in the news are discussed.

Self-defense training :

Lioness Club, Panvel organizes a self-defense training session for girls. This initiative is taken to empower girls in our society. A professional trainer instructs participants on various defense techniques that can be implemented at the time of need. Girls from classes 6th to 10th participate in this training.

CBSE Teacher’s Training- Project-Based Learning :

CBSE training for teachers is conducted annually. The training is in regards to project-based learning. Mr. J. B.Murthy conducts sessions on the importance of project-based learning. The methodologies of conducting projects, rubrics for displaying excellent projects, and parameters of evaluations are discussed. These skills are essential for effective and holistic learning.

Career Guidance Counseling Session :

Aakash tutorials organize a Career guidance counseling session for the students of STD VII to X. In these sessions, students are made aware of the professional world and how they need to be prepared for the same. They are advised on how to choose the right career and subjects after their board exams and the preparation required for it. They are also encouraged to attempt a competitive exam based on their current syllabus to give them an insight into future possibilities.
