Saturday Activity- Essay writing on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar :

The first Saturday Activity for the classes VI to IX for the academic year 2016-17 conducted on 9th April 2016 was essay writing on the life story of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. The students were asked to write an essay of about 100-150 words on the life of the 'Father of Constitution' on account of his birth anniversary. Students thus actively participated in this activity and showed their humble respect to this great soul

Saturday Activity - Gudhi drawing and decoration :

The first Saturday Activity for the academic year 2016-17 was Gudhi drawing and decoration. This activity was conducted for the classes 1st to 5th on account of Gudhi padawa on the 9th April 2016. Students drew beautiful gudhis and painted them artistically. Classes 4th and 5th decorated the gudhis as a part of their activity thus exhibiting their creative talents.

Saturday Activity :

The Saturday Activity on the 2ndof July'16 was based on the social science topics. Each class was allotted with different topics from their SST teachers. Class 6 was asked to collect information and study the culture of different states of India. Class 7 was asked to locate the regions under the Radhtrakuta empire on the outline map of India etc. Thus students could perform activities based on the subject.

Yellow day :

Toddlers of Shantiniketan celebrated yellow day on 16th September 2016. All the kids were dressed in yellow attire and carried one yellow object with them. Teachers explained the kids the colour and carried one yellow object with them. Teachers explained the kids the colour by showing different yellow objects. Kids speak few sentences on the object they brought. The atmosphere was filled with yellow colour.

Saturday Activity (Best Out of West) :

December is a month of lights, snow and feasts; time to make a mends and tie loose ends; finish off what you started and hope you’re wishes come true. In context of above lines, Shantiniketan Public School planned and celebrated December in an honourable way. As we line in a disposable society. It’s easier to throw things our than to fix them, but if we want grown-ups to recycles, we just tell kinds the importance of recycling and teachers encouraged students to make something best out of waste. It was affair enough to waste students were actively making amazing things using waste. ‘The Best out of Waste’ activity was a successful effort with the message. “We must focus our efforts on mitigating negative impacts to our community while protecting our environment.

White Day :

White day was celebrated on 30th December 2016. Children came dressed in white colour. White colour signifies cleanliness, purity, innocence, lightness, empowerment and goodness. This colour brings feelings of peace and comfort. The aim to celebrate this day was to make the toddlers aware about the colour and their significance.
