ANNUAL SPORTS DAY :

“Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.”

The much awaited Annual Sports Day was held on Wednesday 18th January 2017 at the Shantiniketan Public School, New Panvel. Its objective was to develop in the students a sporting spirit, a venue to display their physical prowess and gain hands on experience of organizing a sports day at a school in future. The day was scheduled to begin at 8:30am at the school campus, where the students assembled on the school ground. The excitement from the participants and the pleasant weather were the perfect boost for the students on their very first sports day. The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way. The Principal, Mrs. Swati Roy inaugurated the event and encouraged the participants by wishing them good luck and healthy sportsmanship. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. Students of classes 1 to 10 competed class-wise and house- wise events including sprints, Relays, Shot put, Lemon and spoon, potato race, book balancing etc. Fun time with running race, Relay and book balancing between the teachers added to the enjoyment. Sports Display, showcased the skills and exercises practiced by our young sports enthusiasts every day. The day ended with the Principal, Mrs. Swati Roy congratulating the winners with medals and certificates.

PRE-PRIMARY SPORTS DAY:

The school playground of SNPS was filled with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere on 18th and 19th January 2017 as the daffodils of SNPS celebrated its annual sports. All the children participated in the event. The chief guest Mrs. Swati Roy graced the occasion with her presence and was the guest of honour. She welcomed the esteemed gathering and emphasized on the importance of sports in a Childs life.

The children mesmerized the audience with their energetic performance. The school principal applauded the effort of the students and the teachers for making the event a huge success.
